Welcome to the 4th German Christmas Market in Broadmead part of Bristol Shopping Quarter .It runs from Friday 9 November - 29 December 2012. Open from Monday - Saturday 10am - 7pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm

The 35 traditional chalets are decorated with festive greenery and colourful lights. The Christmas nativity Pyramid, giant advent calendar, children’s carousel , wooden cabins and beer gardens combine to create a festive atmosphere in the heart of the city centre shopping area.

Visitors are invited to wander around and will find traditional German Christmas decorations, lights, nativity scenes and gifts, including wooden toys, baskets, soaps, lamps and amber jewellery. Delicious festive food and drink is on offer including the now famous gluhvein, bratwurst, waffles, liquorice, stollen cake, gingerbread hearts and candied fruit.
 
The market opening coincides with the spectacular Peter Pan procession and lights switch- on event in Cabot Circus on November 9 . Between 5pm - 8pm at the Bavarian Beer Garden sing along and dance to a traditional Ompah band with The Boys from Heidelberg.

Pyramid and Beer Garden

A key feature of the market will be the 13-metre high Christmas Pyramid, with a giant rotating nativity scene which will be the focal point of the market’s location in Broadmead alongside the new skate rink.

Advent Calendar

From Sunday 2 November to 24 November an advent calendar window will be opened daily at 4pm. Santa will ring his bell around the market and then will be giving away free presents to some lucky children.

Food and Drink

Mouth- watering foods and drinks will be available to sample and buy such as giant bratwurst prepared on a traditional Shwekengrill :hog roast; crepes and waffles; sugared nuts; lebkuchen gingerbread hearts and chocolate covered fruits; German beer; the famous gluhwein and mulled cider.
