There’s Cardiff Castle, which during its 2000 years of history, has been a Roman Garrison, a Norman stronghold and in Victorian times a gothic fairytale fantasy entry costs from £8.98 to £11.95 for an adult, then there is Castell Coche Wales’s own fairytale-like castle complete with romantic turrets, entry £3.60 for Adults.
At The Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff the kids will be in their delight with the “Doctor Who Close Up Exhibition” where they can get close to a cyberman and a dalek, you can see monsters, costumes and props from the recent series of Doctor Who, most of which was filmed in Cardiff. Family tickets £18.00.
Tequniquest is a hands-on science centre in Cardiff, Children and adults alike are enthralled by the vast array of puzzles, gadgets and structures in the main exhibition hall or you can take in a show in the Science Theatre or gaze at the stars in the Planetarium. Adult admission £7.00.
Another must if you are visiting Cardiff is the Pierhead Building (know in welsh as Y Senedd) This is the Welsh Assembly Government’s debating chamber, you can join a tour of the eco-friendly building, and watch Assembly debates from the public viewing gallery. Entry is free.
Llandaff Cathedral in the ancient "City of Llandaff” is one of the oldest religious sites in the UK. Admission is free.
